No Yasin, a new coach and a relegation place: Örebro need a result against the promotion chasers
„Klubbens existens står på spel“ – the club’s existence is at stake – was how Antonio Yakoub put it after the 2-2 in Norrköping. Örebro are 15th with three games left, level on 26 points with Brage, and a draw would lift them into the play-off place. Patrik Haginge, promoted from assistant after Rikard Norling was sacked on 14 October, takes charge of his second game. Falkenberg come to Behrn Arena second in the table and three points clear of Östersund in the race for automatic promotion.
Ahmed Yasin, Örebro’s top scorer with nine league goals, injured his knee in Norrköping and will miss the rest of the season.
Predicted lineups: Örebro vs Falkenberg
Yasin’s injury is the big blow for Örebro, and Haginge also loses reserve goalkeeper Buster Runheim, who hurt his hand in the warm-up last week, and Erik McCue. Rakip, Holmberg, Wiedesheim-Paul and Yakoub are all available, and Jacob Ortmark, who scored against Ljungskile, is an option up front. Falkenberg have no injuries reported, and midfielder Godwin Aguda is back after serving a suspension in the 4-3 win over Landskrona.
Örebro Team News & Preview
The point in Norrköping looks better on paper than it was on the pitch. Örebro went 2-0 up through Amatkarijo and Yakoub, then lost control: the leaders finished with 19 shots to six and 63% of the ball and pulled level with goals on 70 and 81 minutes. The week before, Ljungskile equalised in stoppage time at Behrn Arena. Falkenberg coach Christoffer Andersson has noticed the pattern, saying Örebro „have dropped off a bit late in games“.
Home form is the main problem. Örebro have three wins, five draws and five defeats at Behrn Arena, with 11 goals in 13 games, and their last league win came at Sundsvall on 10 September. Without Yasin, who scored nine of their 30 league goals, it is not obvious where the goals will come from. The crowd should help – more than 4,000 tickets have been sold.
What works for or against Örebro
- More than 4,000 tickets sold for a game they cannot afford to lose.
- Won the last meeting at Behrn Arena 4-1 in October 2025.
- Only 11 goals in 13 home games this season.
- Without top scorer Yasin for the rest of the season.
Falkenberg Team News & Preview
Falkenberg are better on the road than almost anyone in the division. They have seven wins, two draws and four defeats away from home, and their 28 away goals are the most in the league. Albin Andersson and Hampus Källström do most of the damage: Andersson scored both goals at Värnamo and opened the scoring against Landskrona, and Källström then added two more as Falkenberg led 4-1 at half-time.
The defence is the weak spot. Landskrona scored three times in that game and Falkenberg have conceded 37 league goals, so this is not a side that kills games off. Andersson knows what is coming: „Vi ska vara närvarande hela tiden och vilja påverka den här matchen“ („We have to be switched on the whole time and want to shape this game“). The squad travelled the day before the game.
What works for or against Falkenberg
- Unbeaten in five league games, with four wins.
- 28 away goals, the most in the Superettan.
- Conceded four goals in their last two games.
- The June meeting in Falkenberg finished 1-1.

Örebro vs. Falkenberg Form Guide
Örebro Form, Stats & Data
Almost a third of Örebro’s league goals came from Yasin, so his injury hurts more than the table suggests. Örebro also concede more than one and a half goals per game, which is a worry against the league’s best away attack. A new coach can help, but the squad has drawn 11 of its 27 games and struggles to turn good spells into wins.
Falkenberg Form, Stats & Data
Nearly two goals per game is the main reason Falkenberg are in the promotion race, and Albin Andersson and Källström have scored 30 of their 52 league goals between them. They concede too often to be safe favourites, but away from home they have lost only four times in 13 games.
Örebro vs Falkenberg: Prediction & Betting Tip
How does a side with 11 home goals all season replace a striker who scored nine of their 30? That is Örebro’s problem tonight. Falkenberg have the best away attack in the division, are unbeaten in five and still have automatic promotion in their own hands, so I make them the stronger side.
A desperate home side under a new coach is a real danger, though, and Örebro showed in Norrköping that they can start fast. A draw would also be a decent result for them, which is why I do not want to back Falkenberg to win outright at 2.24. With the draw covered, I am taking Falkenberg Draw No Bet at 1.70 with Winz and expect Falkenberg to win 2-1.
