Built by Bettors, for Bettors

footybets.io started as a spreadsheet. We were tracking streaks, corner averages and head-to-head records by hand before every weekend and losing hours to it — while what was available online kept getting in the way: tipster sites that parade the winners and quietly bury the losers, paywalls in front of numbers anyone can count, and picks with no data attached at all.

So we built the tool we wanted for ourselves. Every number sits on the page, every tip keeps its result whether it lands or not, and none of it costs anything. If you bet on football and like knowing why, this was made for you.

How a Football Tip Is Built

Every fixture runs through the same four checks — and most never produce a tip at all. This is what happens between the raw data and the card at the top of this page.

Step 1

Four contexts, not one

A team can be excellent at home and ordinary away, or steady in the Bundesliga and erratic in the Champions League. So we measure every market four times: all competitions, all competitions split home and away, the current league, and the current league split home and away. The context with the strongest evidence is the one we publish — and the card tells you which one it was.

Step 2

Streaks are weighted, not counted

Six matches in a row counts for more than three. But nine hits in ten over a longer sample can outrank a short streak, because it survived a wider test. Recent misses in that same market pull the score straight back down, so a broken run does not keep coasting on its history.

Step 3

The odds decide the last step

A trend only becomes a value tip if the price still pays for the risk. That is why you will sometimes see a team on a long run with no tip beside it — the market has already priced it in, and backing it would mean paying for something everyone can see. This filter removes more candidates than any other stage.

Step 4

Leagues are treated differently

Competitions do not play alike, so the thresholds move with them. The corner line sits at 9.5 in some leagues and 10.5 in others. In a handful of competitions the corner or card data is not reliable enough to bet on, so those markets stay switched off there instead of filling the page with noise.

The result: fewer tips than most free tipping sites publish — on purpose.

Where the Numbers Come From

Every pick is built from finished matches, never from opinion. We line up a team’s attacking runs against the defence it is about to face, weigh the head-to-head record between the two sides, and pull in the referee’s own card average for booking markets. Correct-score tips run a Poisson distribution across every scoreline up to 10-10, built from a goal expectation that blends attack and defence strength with the last three, six and fifteen matches and the league’s own scoring level.

Every Market, Not Just the Obvious Ones

Most free tipping sites stop at match result and Over 2.5. We run every fixture through the full board, so you can bet the angle you actually follow:

  • Goals: Over and Under lines from 1.5 to 3.5, Over 2.5 Goals, both teams to score, and team goal totals for either side separately.
  • Corners: match totals, team corners, and which side wins the corner count — full time or first half.
  • Cards: booking totals per match and per team, adjusted for the referee in charge.
  • Match outcomes: 1X2, double chance, Asian handicaps and correct score.
  • Halves: first and second half goals, half-time leads and half-time BTTS — the markets most sites skip entirely.
  • Odds movement: prices are tracked live, so you can see whether a line is drifting or shortening before you commit.

The same checks run everywhere — from the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A down to second tiers, Scandinavian summer football and South America. The full league list shows every competition we cover, with the number of tips currently live in each.

Audit the Data Yourself

We do not just hand you free football tips — we show you the matches they came from. Every card carries the hit rate or the current run, the competition it applies to, and whether it is a home, away or overall record. If a tip says eight of the last ten, you can see which ten.

The stats pop-up

One click on the statistics icon opens the last ten results, the exact scores and the head-to-head record, colour-coded so a green run is obvious at a glance. It is the fastest way to decide whether a trend is worth backing, without digging through a season of results by hand.

Or start from the numbers instead

If you would rather form your own view before looking at any tip, the football statistics section ranks every team we track: longest current runs for goals, BTTS and corners, the highest and lowest scoring sides, who concedes the most corners, who collects the most cards. League averages sit next to them, so you can tell whether a team is genuinely an outlier or simply playing in a high-scoring division. Every club has its own page with results, streaks, home and away splits and the next fixture.

Settled, not forgotten

Once a match finishes, the tip is marked won or lost and stays that way. Nothing is quietly removed when it does not come off. That record is the only honest measure of whether a tipping page is worth reading — including this one.
