Eight clean sheets in 12: the league’s tightest defence visits the bottom side
Pre-match update (18:35 CET): The official line-ups had not been released when I checked an hour before kick-off, and neither club has reported a new absence since this preview went up. Nothing I have seen changes the picture, so I am sticking with Stade Nyonnais under 0.5 team goals at 2.45 with MyStake for 4/10. The odds quoted are from 5 November; prices may have moved since.
Stade Lausanne-Ouchy are top of the Challenge League and unbeaten, and the reason is at the back. They have conceded five goals in 12 games and kept eight clean sheets, including a 2-0 win over Stade Nyonnais in August. Nyon arrive with a lift after winning 4-1 at Rapperswil-Jona last week, only their second league win of the season, but they are still bottom and have scored 12 goals in 12 games.
Stade Lausanne-Ouchy have allowed only 2.3 shots on target per league game this season.
Predicted lineups: Nyon vs SLO
Neither club has reported fresh absences this week, so I expect both coaches to stay close to their last line-ups. Aurélien Mioch kept a 4-4-2 at Rapperswil with Matteo Regillo and Ruben Londja up front, while Mohamed Ishuayed made his mark off the bench with two goals. Dalibor Stevanović’s SLO played a 3-4-2-1 against Yverdon, with Malko Sartoretti through the middle and Théo Bouchlarhem behind him.
Nyon Team News & Preview
The 4-1 at Rapperswil was a rare good night. It was level at the break, Regillo scored twice, including a penalty, and Ishuayed added two late goals, the first a direct free kick. Before that Nyon had won once in 11 league games, and the bigger picture is still bleak: 29 goals conceded and only 3.3 shots on target per game.
At Colovray they have been more competitive, scoring in four of five home games, but the opposition there has not been of SLO’s quality. When Nyon have met the better defences in the division, they have usually come up short: no goals at SLO, Kriens, Wil or Winterthur, and a 0-0 at home to Étoile Carouge.
What works for or against Nyon
- Fresh from a 4-1 away win, their biggest of the season.
- They have scored in four of five home league games.
- Only 11.7 shots and 3.3 on target per game across the season.
- Five blanks in 12 league games, including the 2-0 defeat at SLO.
SLO Team News & Preview
SLO showed a different side last Friday, coming from 2-0 down at half-time to beat Yverdon 3-2 with 26 shots and Bouchlarhem scoring twice, although Yverdon were down to ten men before the break. Those were the first goals SLO had conceded in six league games, after clean sheets against Kriens, Wil, Yverdon, Rapperswil-Jona and Xamax.
Away from home the defensive record is the headline: three of six away games without conceding, including wins at Kriens and Rapperswil, and only three goals let in on their travels. Sartoretti leads the scoring with five, and Bouchlarhem is the side’s highest-rated player on FotMob.
What works for or against SLO
- Eight clean sheets and five goals conceded in 12 league games.
- Unbeaten and top, with no reported absentees.
- Conceded twice against Yverdon last week before turning it round.

Stade Nyonnais vs. Stade Lausanne-Ouchy Form Guide
Stade Nyonnais Form, Stats & Data
Four of Nyon’s 12 league goals came in one game last week, which shows how thin the attacking output has been. With 43 per cent of the ball and 19 shots conceded per game, they spend most matches defending, and against SLO that is unlikely to change.
Stade Lausanne-Ouchy Form, Stats & Data
The number that stands out is 0.42 goals conceded per game, and it is backed up by the chances SLO allow: 11.1 shots and 2.3 on target per match. This is not a side riding its goalkeeper; opponents simply struggle to get near the box.
Nyon vs SLO: Prediction & Betting Tip
My concern is the timing. Nyon have just scored four in an away game, and confidence after a result like that can carry into a derby in front of their own fans. Regillo is on penalties and Ishuayed has a dead-ball threat, so one set piece could be enough.
I keep coming back to the bigger sample, though. SLO have kept eight clean sheets in 12, Nyon have blanked in five of 12, and the gap in shots between these sides is huge. A 2-0 to the visitors looks the most likely outcome to me, and Stade Nyonnais under 0.5 team goals at 2.45 with MyStake gets a 4/10 stake.
